McCain & Associates

Since it seems that the "theme" of this Presidential campaign is to hold the candidate accountable for what people around them say and do, I thought it only fair to point out that John McCain continues to show horrible judgement in his associations.

Reverand John Hagee - Hagee is the definition of the lunitic fringe. Most recently he has said that the Bible foresees Hitler "hunting" the Jews. Hagee is one of those mental midgets who sees this war in Iraq as beginning of the "end times". Not only did this guy endorse McCain, but McCain went out of his way to seek his endorsement. That should scare the hell out of you.

Then there is Charlie Black who just resigned/was fired as a McCain adviser because of his unsavory list of clients from his lobbying days. It is basically a Who's Who list of dictators, tyrants and brutal military juntas. The question that should be asked is did McCain not know about his close advisers questionable taste in clients or did he just not care until somebody else found about it? Either way it's a scary thought.

Doug Davenport - This one is timely. Seems Mr. Davenport used to work for the military junta in Burma/Myanmar. You know...that fun-loving bunch who kept aid from reaching their people devastated by the recent cyclone.

I really hope the Republicans don't want to continue this little game all the way until the election. I'm not holding my breath.
